Talk Therapy

Each of us have unique life experiences that can affect our emotional health.

At CTC, each therapeutic relationship is built on a foundation of non-judgement, warmth, empathy, confidentiality and a genuine desire to support you in your development.

Therapies we offer include:

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy [CBT], Cognitive Analytic Therapy [CAT], EMDR, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills [DBT], Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy [DDP] and Mindfulness Skills.  
  • We also offer Person Centred Counselling, which is a supportive and semi-structured approach to exploring and understanding your difficulties and enabling you to reach solutions for unhelpful patterns. 

Issues for which counselling or psychotherapy may be useful include:

  • Anger, bereavement, anxiety, low mood, experiences of trauma, dissociation and relationship difficulties (as well as many others).
  • Therapy and counselling can help you with challenges in the here and now, as well as long-standing difficulties with their roots in early experiences.

Your therapist will dedicate time to understanding your needs and forming a joint understanding with you about how to move forwards.

Play Therapy

Play therapy may be used to address a variety of health challenges experienced by both children and adults, especially if incorporated with other treatment modalities.
