I am a Qualified Social Worker and Play Therapist working at CTC Psychological Services.
Initially, my career began in Social Work, working with young people and supporting adult care givers in fostering and adoption roles.
I then trained further at Liverpool Hope University and obtained my Play Therapy qualification through a BAPT accredited Post Graduate diploma course and have worked as a Play Therapist since 2010. I have undertaken further training in DDP and EMDR.
I believe that children communicate through their behaviour and my role is to provide the space and time to process, and work through their life experiences. It is essential to support their caregivers in to how best to care for them.
I have a specific interest in Attachment and how Trauma can impact on a child’s functioning. I am also interested in child development, and how important it is for the foundations for any child to feel stable and secure in order for them to develop and thrive in order to reach their potential.

Between 2010 and 2018 I worked for CAMHS as a Mental Health Practitioner, undertaking assessments and therapeutic work with Care Experienced Children.
