Consultant Child & Family Psychologist & Psychotherapist
I have professional qualifications in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, and have attained a doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy, in the field of trauma & Dissociation, child abuse and neglect. I am the Registered Manager of an Adoption Support Agency. I am a Chartered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, having a BA (Hons) in Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctoral degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have qualifications in the supervision of counselling and psychotherapy. I have been a Consultant Clinical and Forensic Psychologist & Psychotherapist, at CTC Psychological Services LLP, since 1988. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, Chartered through the British Psychological Society, on the UK Register of Expert Witnesses and a member of the Academy of Experts. I am qualified as a supervisor in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and Ofsted. I am an EMDR Therapist.
I have been working in the field of trauma since 1979. I trained in assessment and intervention work pertaining to child sexual abuse at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1984. I have specialised in trauma work since 1986 and have been providing Expert Witness services since that date, including Criminal, Personal Injury, Child and Family, Risk Assessment and other court cases. I have worked with children and families for more than 30 years, and my service has developed effective team approaches to the resolution of family difficulty and conflict.
